If you or someone you know is struggling with substance use in the Boston area and is in need of resources call or text (617) 680-1828 for more information.
Project TRUST’s goal is to help anyone who is actively struggling with substance use access comprehensive and compassionate care without judgement. We provide addiction treatment resources, harm reduction education and supplies, and navigation to an array of medical services including primary care and urgent care services.
Project Trust team is made up of compassionate community health workers, who use their lived experience to guide people in active addiction. We operate a drop-in space at 721 Mass Ave, as well as conduct outreach in the community.
The Project TRUST drop-in was started in 1988 in response to the first wave of HIV in Boston among persons who use injection drugs. We have continued with our mission to provide comprehensive services that stop the transmission of infectious diseases in those who struggle with substance use.
A few things we do
Here are just a few of the important services we provide our clients.
When clients are ready for a change, we are here to help facilitate. Not only do we provide referrals for detox centers, we can also quickly connect clients to Methadone, Suboxone, and Vivitrol.
We distribute syringes, safer injection supplies, safer smoking supplies, wound and hygiene kits.
Pre-Exposure and Post-Exposure Prophylaxis for HIV.
Frequent testing is an important public health intervention for people who inject drugs. At Project Trust, we provide on demand testing for HIV, Hepatitis C, and STI’s. When a test comes back positive, we can provide treatment as well as case management for the client.
We provide clinical services geared towards injection drug users and transactional sex workers. Our on-site Nurse Practitioner helps clients out with a range of services including wound treatment and birth control.
